Wedding season is officially here, just in case I thought otherwise before. Take the past 2 weeks: wedding, bridal shower, 2 invites in the mail, wedding on Friday. Phew. . .Bed Bath and Beyond is seeing a lot of me these days. It's been fun thus far, experiencing lots of contentment in the Lord which totally helps when it comes to rejoicing with those who rejoice. The Lord has given me singleness for now and by no means do I want to waste it!
Hum, what else? Do you know that I just love BLTs. . .the ones I make aren't nearly as good as what I can get at High St. Deli in SLO but it'll have to do. Trader Joe's has this great bacon that's pre-cooked, you just have to zap it in the microwave for a bit. I love being able to taste each and every flavor in a dish, whether sweet or savory it needs to taste like each ingredient. Take the strawberry-rhubarb cobbler my mom made, I could taste both perfectly as the flavors blended together and it was delish!
Close to finishing a couple of books. . .Crazy Love by Francis Chan (love him!) and Bruchko by Bruce Olson (intense true story of a missionary to indians in Colombia). Both are piercing and well written, I recommend!
I've been in Berkeley the past couple of days but am heading home tomorrow - so ready to get out of this gray cold place. It's a little different/sad when the students aren't around, I do love them! A couple relatives are visiting from Holland and I'm excited to see them and work on my Dutch speaking skills - or the lack there of.
Preparing to head out to Fort Collins, Colorado soon for New Staff Training. Starting to make to-do and to-purchase lists so that I don't forget anything. I need to get a laptop sleeve for my macbook. . .but am thinking of making one, the ones I saw on etsy are so cute, just a little pricy. And how I do love being domestic - I'll let you know how it goes!
Ok, these random updates are fun, I want to try to do them more often. Sometimes I feel the need to write something ubber thoughtful, but if I'm not feeling it then I'm not feeling it and these random thoughts will have to do. Ah, the things that go through my mind in any given moment - this was just the tip of the ice burg. Good night!

I just set up a google reader too! it's great! and your blog is definitely on there :)
I'm reading Crazy Love right now, too! And Praise Habit by David Crowder, which is a little bizzarly worded.
You are in the wrong profession. You should work at Trader Joe's.
