I'm Back!

Hi friends! I'm back in SLO and back into blogging as well. . .it's been a while! I hope your Christmas and New Years were celebratory. . .giving God all glory for who He is and how He's blessed us.

I got back from Winter Conference on Tuesday. One thing I learned is that it's one thing to say I'm going to San Diego and it's a whole other thing to get there. . .lots and lots of driving but completely worth it. It was such a joy to serve the students at the conference in so many different ways and simultaneously be blessed my self. The speakers, seminars, worship band, Day of Faith, and New Years Eve party were all so amazing. One of the things that is sticking in my mind is the need to have Truth permeate every area of my life. . .that I would not water down the Word of God for myself and for the others I get to share it with. If I really believe that it's truth that sets us free then I need to boldly proclaim it always. How amazing that God has given us all that we need to live victorious and abundant lives in Him. . .lives of meaning, integrity, and adventure. May I be characterized by the Truth and no other thing!

The students start classes on Monday. . .I'm so excited and eager to get back onto campus and to continue trusting God for big things on our campuses in SLO. Pray for God's strength and wisdom as I will step into many leadership roles again. Pray for a healthy quarter. . .I'm fighting a cold right now so my energy is a little low. Pray for a continual focus on all things eternal - God, His Word, and the souls of men and women.

I am praying for you too! And I am excited for what 2008 will hold for all of us. Let's run with endurance the race that is set before us each moment of every day.
