It's April!

So this "no fool" was fooled on April Fool's Day by her mom - pretty funny. She convinced me to turn on the TV because they were announcing that Michelle Obama was going to make a visit to Oakdale Cheese. . .oh dear, yep - I fell for it!

On the TV topic. . .I bought a TV stand at Target today. Got it on sale and I really like it, now I just have to figure out how to build it - this is when having a man around would be rather handy. ;)

And on the buying furniture topic. . .right before leaving for East Asia I bought an awesome table and 4 chairs at the Salvation Army - a steal of a deal to say the least. Here's a picture. . .

I just love the base. . .and am planning to touch it up with some paint, and possibly will stain/paint the wood a darker brown. What do you think?

I am loving Spring! I bought these daffodils at Trader Joe's for 3 bucks. . .and put them in a make-shift coffee pot vase that I got from my Dad for Christmas.

And on the flower topic. . .these are the flowers blooming on the side of our garage right now - they smell so good, and the bees love them too. Stay away from me!

Well, sorry this is a bit of a teaser - no East Asia blogging or pictures just yet. I feel like I need more time to sort out my thoughts before I begin that task. . .though I'm so excited to tell you about my experiences and what God is doing there. Soon, my friends.

Oh, and lastly - the reason why I've been busy buying furniture is that I now live by myself! When I came back from East Asia my roommate had just moved out - ah, sounds more dramatic then it really is. We knew it was coming and I'm so excited for what God has planned for her in this new season of life (Campus Crusade staff at Arizona State University!) but it also means that she, understandably, took her stuff with her so now I'm trying to fill the gaps. Painting is on the agenda as well, I will keep you posted with pictures as progress is being made!
